Recording Techniques 4

Finally this is the set up of my XY recording technique. As before the AKG 414 microphones were used and the trumpet was placed around 3 foot away from the mics.

 

 

Recording Techniques 3

This is the NOS microphone set up. This time i used the neumann microphone to get a more contrasting recording from the others that i had done. This time the mics were set up closer to the rooms walls which gave a more dampened sound. Again the trumpet was played about 3 foot away from the mics.

 

 

Recording Techniques 2

This is my MS recording technique set up. Again the mics were placed in the middle of the room however they were facing the other way to experiment with the different acoustics the space had to offer. This technique was tried out on a number of microphones however i felt the AKG 414s made the best sound.

Recording Techniques 1

This is the AB microphone set up. The mics were placed in the middle of the room with the trumpet about 3 foot away. AKG 414mics were used as they gave the best sound quality in my opinion.
